A Virtual Field Trip (VFTs) is an emerging technology that allows teachers to conduct a field trip virtually over the Internet from the comfort of the classroom.

Trick Or Treat!

Well Halloween was fun, but I really miss being a kid and dressing up and walking around trick or treating.  This weekend I got caught up on some homework.  I created a WebQuest on the Solar System that I am pretty proud of.  This semester is really flying by, Thanksgiving is just right around the corner.  I am ready for Christmas break to get here :)

Fall Break!!

Well Fall Break has arrived just in time :)  The weather is still really nice for the middle of October.  I have been working on my Technology Research Report this weekend.  I chose to research Virtual Field Trips, because sadly many school systems are cutting out real field trips due to budget constraints.  Well this is all for now, I better get outside and enjoy this weather while it lasts. 

Moving Right Along

Well another week is in the books.  I cannot believe that it is October already.  This week I created a lesson plan and concept map to go along with The American Civil War.  I feel like I learned a lot from this assignment that I can use in my future classroom.  That is all for now...  time to do some more homework.

Introduction

Hey everybody,
My name is Nick Cox.  This is the first time I have tried blogging.  I received my undergraduate degree from the University of Tennessee Knoxville in Psychology. I am currently working as a Special Education Assistant at an elementary school.  I have been working there for the past three years and really enjoy it.  Last year I decided it was time to start working on my Master of Arts in Teaching.  I am looking forward to learning about new ways of integrating technology into my classroom.
